The humidity, lower than 8%, allows the oven to reach the perfect temperature in less time, its efficient combustion reducing the emissions of carbon monoxide to the atmosphere and the soot in the chimney. The octagonal section ensures easy handling and stability by avoiding rolling in the oven.  For the same weight and size it far exceeds the best traditional wood in terms of yield, thus making it very convenient and economical. Its high radiant power is ideal for cooking in refractory ovens because it generates heat not only by convection, but also by radiation. This difference in the balance of convective and radiant heat gives far greater yield that traditional wood logs, and maintains a constant temperature for longer.  Storage is simplified, with each 18Kg box containing 8 briquettes, which are easy to store and to stack and maintain a clean environment under the oven.
